Because of the wonderful qualities of cast-iron the heat is evenly distributed and retained. The pan comes with a fry basket with handle and lid. The best of all is that the cast iron has undergone a special treatment beforehand, the 'True Seasoned Finish'. You can tell when you look at the smooth finish and that the product is immediately ready to be used.
