The **Casström Lars Fält Knife** is a fixed-blade bushcraft knife designed by outdoor legend Lars Fält. Fält is an expert on bushcraft and survival skills. He has written many books and has been organising fieldtrips in the great outdoors for years. If anybody knows what a good knife should adhere to, it is Lars Fält.



The blade of the Casstrom Lars Falt Knife 11850 Natural Canvas Micarta, bushcraft knife measures 11,5 cm in length and 4 mm in thickness. The total length is 23,2 cm.



## A8mod-steel blade

The blade is 11,5 cm cm in length and made of A8mod steel, a tough type of steel that contains chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. It's tougher than both Sleipner and 14C28N, so the blade is less likely to chip. As a result, A8mod is perfect for heavy-duty use. In addition to having a great sharpness retention, this steel is also easy to sharpen in the field with a [simple sharpening stone](/en/pt/-skerper-pocket-stone-diamondceramic-sharpening-stone-so003.htm).

Even though this steel is not entirely stainless, it's still fairly corrosion resistant. Please be sure to clean the knife after use, dry it well, and apply some oil in moist conditions.



This knife has a scandi grind. As the name somewhat suggests, this method of sharpening originated in Scandinavia. A scandi edge excels at wood carving, which is why it is a popular choice for bushcraft knives. The blade of this knife is enhanced with a 'satin finish'. This is a chic and tasteful finish that is very popular.



## Micarta handle 
The handle of the Casstrom Lars Falt Knife 11850 Natural Canvas Micarta, bushcraft knife is made of micarta. This is a composite material made of fabric and synthetic resin. If you look closely, you can see a subtle texture on the surface, sometimes it looks almost like wood. This material is strong and stable, and it's very grippy.



The Casstrom Lars Falt Knife 11850 Natural Canvas Micarta, bushcraft knife comes with a sheath made of kydex, a sturdy plastic that will keep the steel safe. However, it is important to keep a kydex sheath clean on the inside. Rinse it regularly with water. This will prevent dirt from remaining in the sheath, which can scratch the blade.

Excellent knife, the only thing to improve is to make a higher grind. Poor kydex sheath.
