## Blade made of CPM MagnaCut steel

The blade of the Leatherman ARC is made of CPM MagnaCut steel. It's perhaps one of the most revolutionary steels of the 21st century. MagnaCut offers an unrivalled balance between sharpness retention, toughness, corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. You can easily open the blade with the thumb stud. The blade is enhanced with a black DLC coating. DLC stands for Diamond Like Carbon, it's a coating that is even harder than steel. DLC is very scratch resistant, and this coating protects the blade against corrosion. Though this coating is very tough, it's just a thin layer after all: in time you will always see traces of use.

## Leatherman FREE technology

For the ARC, Leatherman has applied the innovative FREE technology. While most multi-tools rely on friction between the parts to keep the tool closed, the ARC is different. The frame is enhanced with a magnet that makes sure the steel frame stays closed. This also means that once the magnet is 'loose', the multi-tool opens smoothly.

Not only the pliers are easily accessible. The other tools in this multi-tool can also easily be opened. No more hassle with broken nails or painful finger tips in cold circumstances: all tools are equipped with a lock. The lock is a type of back lock. With some practice, you can operate it with one hand.

## Leatherman ARC tools

Most tools, like the blade, the saw and the scissors, can be opened from the outside of the tool. With a little practice, this can also easily be done one-handed. So when you are standing on a ladder and hold something above your head with one hand you can simply use the other to grab the Leatherman ARC and get to work. Super convenient! On the inside of the tool you will find combination pliers with wire cutters and crimping pliers. The large pliers, for instance, are enhanced with interchangeable wire cutters. As such you can sharpen them, or even replace them.

De Leatherman ARC gebruik is als EDC multitool. 

Pluspunten:

- de zijkanten van de multitool zijn niet helemaal glad afgewerkt waardoor je als je kracht zet dit wel voelt in je handpalm



Ik heb al heel wat Leatherman’s versleten, maar dit is echt een topper. Geweldig mes en alles echt met 1 hand te openen en te sluiten (met wat oefening!) 

Qualité, finition et résistance remarquables. 
Seul point à améliorer, le produit vient avec l’un des deux rack de vis disponibles … sur lequel manquent les embouts pour démonter ou revisser les différents outils pour le remplacement. Ceux-ci sont sur le second rack qu’il faut commander à part. Étrange non? 

Heb de arc nu een paar weken, en tot nu toe zijn de tools die ik gebruikt heb;schaar priem zaag mes puntbektang vijl flesopener en de manier waarop je de tang opent ,allemaal goed tot zeer goed.
Mijn eerste dure multitool.
Wel heb ik al jaren messen van victorinox.
Mijn laatste victorinox; de rangergrip 79 heeft wel een stuk groter mes,
en een betere zaag als ik ze vergelijk.
Maar over de arc ben ik zeer tevreden.

Fantastische multitool, wel bij ontvangst best eens goed door smeren want liep heel stroef (productie datum in de tool is 5/24) door stockage.
Heel blij met de staalsoort (en al goed gebruikt in verschillende materialen en blijft echt scherp) en alle tools zijn vlot bereikbaar en handig
